‘I was also dead-on with the Christmas Tree,” said Dietrich of timing his start just as the green light flashed. The Maple Grove season does not begin until the end of April or early May. ‘We ironed out a lot of engine problems before were ever rolled into Maple Grove. ‘I’ve never had a year as consistent as this season and it’s because we tested,” said Dietrich, explaining that he raced down South in late March and early April for the first time. He had four wins at Maple Grove this year and two at Cecil County. He won his first race on Father’s Day in 1996.Ĭareer-wise, Dietrich has 14 victories and six seconds. Import ĮventQueue. On a limited budget, the family started from scratch, buying a new truck to haul a second-hand trailer stuffed with a $7,000, 70-100 mph, 13-foot long alcohol rail dragster. It does require you to maintain some information about the current and previous states, so you know whether the object was just selected or was previously selected, but the basic idea works well. Why is this important? Basically you can use this fact to make a decision about whether a object should be deselected or not within the mouseClicked event instead of something like mousePressed or mouseReleased. One of the side effects of a drag operation is the fact that mouseClicked won't be called. = mousePoint.getY() - lastMousePoint.getY() Ĭan someone help explain to me what is causing the program to deselect an already selected image when I drag it instead of moving it and how to fix this problem? Thanks. = mousePoint.getX() - lastMousePoint.getX() Public void mouseDragged(MouseEvent event) Public void mousePressed(MouseEvent event) I think that is where the problem is, but I'm not sure what is causing it. Here is the code for the mousePressed and mouseDragged events. If the image is already selected, when I move the mouse over to it and click on it in order to move it to a different position, instead of moving, it is deselected instead so no movement occurs. The problem I am having is if the image is already selected. If the image is un-selected, when I click and drag it, it works fine. From there we want to be able to drag it and the program will redraw the image wherever the mouse goes. If one object is not-selected, once clicked on, it will become bolder to show that it is selected. Specifically, the program is not clicking and dragging right. The way I have it now it isn't working correctly. The program is an animation that creates a car and/or truck icon on the screen.
